The Sea Inside ★★★★

Despite being about one man’s fight for the right to die, this is an uplifting and surprisingly positive, at times even humorous, movie that gives the viewer something to think about. Javier Bardem is brilliant as Ramón Sampedro, a quadriplegic man who wishes to die. One memorable sequence is when Ramón imagines going to the sea while listening to "Nessun dorma"; another is the discussion he has with a quadriplegic priest through an intermediary who is running up and down a flight of stairs.
