Peter Ericson’s review published on Letterboxd :
Dialogue-heavy romantic drama comedy, but what is said is often witty and interesting. The episodic structure of the film necessitates a voice-over, which, unfortunately, is annoying and distracting. The picturesque setting, the Spanish-influenced score, and the warm and colorful cinematography create a pleasant atmosphere. Stellar acting by Rebecca Hall, Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem, and Penélope Cruz (who recently won an Oscar for her performance here); as can be expected from a movie written and directed by Woody Allen, the characters they play are all neurotic to some degree.
