actually a formalist masterwork.
this is a hyper-simulacrum! it’s post-modern, high camp insanity. it’s looking at itself so frequently and in so many ways, and it’s all just some wacky david kellogg lewis fantasy and then it’s everything (and nothing) and it knows it? or it’s an accident? or it doesn’t even matter? is this ouroboros cinema? possible worlds, the multi-verse, mise en abyme, slasher and lifetime movies colliding together or else pulling one another apart.
super important to watch again when not stoned.
