Garm Wars: The Last Druid

Garm Wars: The Last Druid

"you're telling me he's been off the garm network for over a thousand sens???"

living on tradition. the fifteenth installment of a JRPG will use reworked music cues from the first, but the characters never say "hey. that's from [PREVIOUS GAME]" - the recall is left to the audience. in this case the previous work doesn't exist, so its as if most of the characters just got the same 10-minute exposition that you did and you're all figuring it out at the same time.

a powerfully obtuse but very imaginative film with super sentai fight scenes that i grew to mostly enjoy after internalising the three layers of jargon on top of every interaction in it. was this what it was like for the adults that saw the first star wars in 1977 and sat there mystified while their children lapped it up?
