Bryan Price’s review published on Letterboxd:
This has to be one of the most well-made Christmas horrors. I got lost in the atmosphere and the interesting friendship dynamics before the plot picked up. If you know anything about the the 1974 classic, this movie continues in that tradition of making an absorbing movie in addition to making a societal statement about women. That statement aside, this was a really fun film with its imagery of Christmas, the campus setting and the look of the killer. I was pleasantly surprised, and somewhat shocked by the negative reviews. Those reviewers must not have seen the 2006 sequel, which was fun in an over the top way but not was not as quality of a movie as this. Looking forward to the directors future work in this genre.
