Wow. I don't think a movie has ever depressed me so much so quickly. But the transition that occurs halfway through the movie made that sinking, disgusted feeling in the pit of my stomach soften into joy, which really opened me up for every emotion in between as the movie went on. In fact, basically every single thing that Jack said or did in the entire movie made me feel feels, but particularly during the second half.
Room is an exhausting experience, but an oddly uplifting one. Fuck it. Here's another quote.
