  • Beetlejuice

There’s such a beautiful nerve & general lack of hesitation to this film but there’s still something that didn’t 100% do it for me. Maybe it’s Michael Keaton’s overacting (which you’d think would be impossible in a film like this???) that didn’t allow me to fully enjoy his character as much as I wanted to or maybe I’m just boring and found the whole thing - mostly plot-wise - a little too messy?? Regardless it still showcases some of Tim Burton’s best visuals and visions and winona’s red dress is a BEAUTY🤧

  • Steel Magnolias

    Steel Magnolias

At first, I felt the pacing of the film was a little off. So much time is spent watching the women chat and hang around Truvy’s salon, that what happens to Shelby just feels so sprung out of the blue and unexpected. But then I guess, that’s the point. Life comes at you fast.

Sure the clues were there all along (her moment on her wedding day, the health concerns with Junior, the transplant, etc) but you, along with the…

  • Under the Skin

    Under the Skin

I can see why some people really love this film but it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me! Just felt it was a little too repetitive at times and a lot of themes just didn’t land as well as I had hoped. Still, thought the music was amazing as was the use of hidden cameras.
