Don’t ask me to explain, but Chris Evans is probs the most American-looking person I’ve ever seen. (This was also one of his best roles to date)

Although it’s a film centred around journalism & ‘taking on the system’ ,as opposed to be focused solely on the victims’ experiences, I think all the scenes featuring survivors are handled really well. Which is more rare than you’d think in film tbh.

This series is pretty nutty. There’s a lot of mad (and upsetting) things that happen but one of the most shocking things they show are those clips of Joe back in the day passionately saying how tigers belong in their natural habitat; that really hit.

Shane Meadows is just always so good at capturing complex and difficult subjects in such an intrinsic and authentic manner. Whatever he does always just feels so real !! Idk how he does it but he’s a genius 🤧

    “Fuck Alfred Hitchcock!”

Really unique & creative film with some important perspectives on race, gentrification & police brutality. Even the artistic choices that I personally didn’t like so much I really respected because of how unique & ambitious they were. Overall a really thoughtful, entertaining & funny watch.

Honestly shocking how Song Kang-ho wasn’t nominated for this. Rarely do you see rage & humiliation displayed in such an acute manner.
