  • Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

    Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

    ★★★½

Kinda got the feeling that this was a documentary that really only scratched the surface on Epstein & his associates. However, it’s still really important in that it provides a voice to all his victims.

  • Steel Magnolias

    Steel Magnolias

    ★★★½

At first, I felt the pacing of the film was a little off. So much time is spent watching the women chat and hang around Truvy’s salon, that what happens to Shelby just feels so sprung out of the blue and unexpected. But then I guess, that’s the point. Life comes at you fast.

Sure the clues were there all along (her moment on her wedding day, the health concerns with Junior, the transplant, etc) but you, along with the…

  • Under the Skin

    Under the Skin

    ★★★½

I can see why some people really love this film but it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me! Just felt it was a little too repetitive at times and a lot of themes just didn’t land as well as I had hoped. Still, thought the music was amazing as was the use of hidden cameras.

  • The King's Speech

The crown ruins EVERYTHING, I’m sitting here like hmm Jared Harris’ depiction is a little different like shut up bitch we don’t care!! Both Colin Firth & Geoffrey Rush are great x

The UFC wish their fights had HALF the entertainment value of colin firth throwing hugh grant into a fountain

  • The Two Popes

    The Two Popes

    ★★★½

There’s a lot of technical aspects of this film that I didn’t really enjoy. The comments that it’s shot like The Office hit the nail on the head and generally I feel like the shakey camera movements feel misplaced and take away from some of the spectacular performances displayed within this film. I also didn’t enjoy a lot of the jarring audio choices.

However, I loved the story and found it a really fascinating look at faith and corruption within…

Wow. I can’t even come to terms with this. How can such shocking evil exist?

  • EXIT

Really fun film with a lot of spirit. However, pretty predictable at times

  • Wet Season

    Wet Season

    ★★★½

Really poetic and beautifully shot film (Yeo Yann Yann is amazing) -  just wasn’t a huge fan of how the issue of rape was handled

  • At Eternity's Gate

    At Eternity's Gate

    ★★★½

Maybe God made me a painter for people who aren’t born yet. It is said “Life is for sowing. The Harvest is not here”

Some questionable camera choices and a muddled script, but overall a very beautiful and emotive film

  • The Dude in Me

    The Dude in Me

    ★★★½

Pretty funny with some really good physical & comedic acting - especially loved seeing Jinyoung as Pansu. The storyline is kinda sweet at times too.

A little long and the abundance of fatshaming is tiresome but apart from that it’s a decent watch.
