a perfect, lazy, (seemingly) worry-free world.
perfect to the point where conflict remains within oneself.
perfect to the point that the film leaves you dreaming.
a story of first love - love that is full of passion, yet impossible and impermanent.
i'm having a hard time figuring out all its high appraisal.
maybe i just never experienced, therefore can empathize with the emotions - elio's life(style).
but it kept me watching. full two hours without major climax and hollywood schemes. maybe that's because this is the genre and aesthetic that i love. (this is what all hong sang soo's films are like anyways.)
