Ending my 2020 with something hopeful. Minari is a family-centered drama that tells a story so simple but does so effectively. I guess it's because the director really wrote and directed his heart out to bring to life his childhood.

I must confess, I expected more. The heavy exchanges between the husband and wife got my eyes glued on the screen. But what I really connected with was David's relationship with his grandma. I really saw my lola in her, and that scene where she sings to David definitely brought me to a river of tears.
