John Wick: Chapter 2 2017
better fights, better visuals, better everything. maybe i still prefer the first just for simplicity sake but the “Reflections of the Soul” sequence is an absolutely breathtaking set piece that carves this film a place in the action canon just by itself. Marc seemed to have a lot to say about the inaccuracies in regards to NYC tram lines and geography! who cares??! did you see the part where he killed a guy with a pencil!?

Comet 2014
This one came out of fucking nowhere.
Bolstered by truly gorgeous cinematography, a clever and heartbreaking script, two phenomenal lead performances, and a magnetic soundtrack - Comet is easily one of my favorite films of the year. I'd daresay I'm going to be one of the few to feel that way honestly, but something about this film latched itself onto me and I can't quite shake it off.
And that Emmy Rossum is fucking beautiful huh?
