Rhona March’s review published on Letterboxd:
I thought it was alright. It's not the worst sequel in the franchise but it's not the best one either. The film relies way too much on the original and it did get a little overwhelming at times. There were some good kills in it but apart from the original cast I didn't really care what happened to the new characters. It also didn't help that I figured out who Ghostface was before the big reveal and another thing I really wish actors would stop overacting when they're revealed to be the killer. It's cringeworthy. I wonder if it says in the script time to overact? It's probably not the last Scream film I'll watch but It's the last film in the franchise that I'll pay to see. I thought this film might breathe new life into this aging franchise but sadly it didn't.
