Far worse than I had any hope for it to be. Poor Barry Morse is wasted on this, of course.

Watched the restored blu-Ray widescreen version - which is stunning. A few early shots are too tight to work in the widescreen frame but the rest is fine. And the 2018 remaster of the film makes the colours work really well.

I was in no way prepared for how much I’d enjoy the Charleston sequence. But then it’s good to have something unspoiled when watching a classic.

What better way to start the year?
Amazingly good for its low budget etc. nonsense action thriller.

Frankly hard to believe either Daft Punk’s Interstella 5555 or ELO’s Xanadu would have been possible without this film.

A decent oral history of the Amiga but could do with being shorter and having a clearer narrative.

I’m kind of shocked I’d forgotten how good this was. But at least when I watched it before becoming an animal to shrink from a fascist state seemed more abstract.

  • Animal Farm

    Animal Farm

Interesting enough but it’s the episode of Stay Tooned with Tony Robinson talking this and other Halas and Batchelor films which really made my evening. Why can’t I just a box set of those?
