The Shape of Things to Come

Far worse than I had any hope for it to be. Poor Barry Morse is wasted on this, of course.

Watched the restored blu-Ray widescreen version - which is stunning. A few early shots are too tight to work in the widescreen frame but the rest is fine. And the 2018 remaster of the film makes the colours work really well.

I was in no way prepared for how much I’d enjoy the Charleston sequence. But then it’s good to have something unspoiled when watching a classic.

    Animal Farm

Interesting enough but it’s the episode of Stay Tooned with Tony Robinson talking this and other Halas and Batchelor films which really made my evening. Why can’t I just a box set of those?

    Independence Day: Resurgence

Funniest film I’ve seen all year. But glorious action sequences.
