Jonathan Larsson’s review published on Letterboxd:
I had to watch it a second time. The things that remains from the first viewing is the great Harry Dean Stanton performance, the incredible cinematography and the last 25 minutes, that I still want to say is the greatest minutes I've ever experienced on film.
The things I noticed even more on a second watch was the fantastic music, the many beautiful silent moments and the performance by Hunter Henderson.
One of the two, three most beautiful looking films I've seen.
One of the greatest lead performances I've seen.
Probably the greatest child acting performance I've seen.
The greatest ending of a film ever, and with that the greatest 25 minutes in film overall that I've ever seen.
The turning of the chair. The hug. The silent tears. The green, the red.
It is just so beautiful in every possible way.
