Contrived and boring beyond measure with serious pacing issues. There's really nothing deep here as much as it wants you to believe there is. The only good part comes early on in the film when Lydia grills the young student to not be so robotic in his social-constructionist thinking, and that's about it.

I don't care how smart your film is. Leaving little-to-nothing exposition to go on in such a film just doesn't do it for me.
Sometimes films that are difficult to understand invoke an urge in me to watch it again, but I have no intention of watching this ever again. It's only and hour and 17 minutes long, but it felt like torture.
