Wendy Weber’s review published on Letterboxd:
In the weeks leading up to this film's release, the hype became so deafening that it was easy to get annoyed by it all. Sure, it's going to "restore my soul!" Whatever.
Consider my soul a little bit restored.
The rare fun big box office movie that is actually fun, "Guardians" offers characters you care about, action you can follow, and a plot mercifully free of gobbledegook, which is becoming rare in comic-book films. Yeah, there's an orb, but we didn't get a 20-minute prologue, we got dancing Chris Pratt! And that, to quote Andy Dwyer, was awesomesauce.
