March (through June) Around the World 2019

Challenge: letterboxd.com/lise/list/march-around-the-world-2019-challenge/

Last year the top five was The Travelling Players (Greece), A Special Day (Italy), Toni (France), Gertrud (Denmark), and The Cranes Are Flying (Russia).

Returning faces include Ingmar Bergman for Sweden, the Archers for the UK, Theo Angelopoulos for Greece, Apichatpong Weerasethakul for Thailand, Satyajit Ray for India, Bela Tarr for Hungary, Aki Kaurismäki for Finland, and Wong Kar-wai for Hong Kong. That means Angelopoulos has a chance to defend his crown from both familiar competition, and some newer faces.
