ObscureHollywood.net’s review published on Letterboxd :
Sophia Dorothea (Joan Greenwood), the unloved wife of Prince George Louis of Hanover (Peter Bull), falls in love with the dashing Count Konigsmark (Stewart Granger). Their attempt to find happiness leads to tragedy.
Beautifully mounted and carefully scripted and directed by Basil Deardon and Michael Relph. The characters live under the necessity of controlling their emotions, leading to a good deal of suppressed tension expressed by the performers, but not much action in the film.
