After Lieutenant Rudolph Valentino refuses the attentions of Czarina Louise Dresser, she signs a warrant for his arrest. Now a wanted man, Valentino becomes the masked bandit, The Black Eagle. The Eagle intends to avenge himself on James Marcus who illegally seized the estate of Valentino’s father. Valentino’s plans are overturned after he falls in love with Marcus’ beautiful daughter Vilma Banky. A pardon from the Czarina permits Valentino to marry Banky and relocate to France where they can leave their fathers’ troubles behind them.
A lively and amusing film showcases Valentino’s handsome face and figure. He was a pretty good romantic actor and demonstrates his comic abilities as he tries to deal with aggressive Czarina Louise Dresser.
