When Ladies Meet ★½

A tedious, stage-bound film is boringly talkie, old fashioned, and, ultimately, unwatchable. Myrna Loy is unconvincing as a dedicated author in love with her married publisher, Frank Morgan. Morgan, who could portray a charming sophisticate, plods across the screen as a dull philanderer, confoundedly lacking any charms that might divert Loy from the appealing Robert Montgomery. Ann Harding plays the wronged wife, relentless understanding of the other woman.
