I have so many thoughts. I'm seeing the movie again tomorrow with Tiny. So I'll probably write a more coherent and less fanboy-ish reaction. But it's hard to temper my excitement and expectations for this movie because it's a massive feat from Marvel. 18 movies in 10 years have all led up to Infinity War. How do you payoff that kind of build-up? Is it even possible?
I'll have my criticisms when I think of the movie more objectively. But right now, after having just seen it for the first time, I'm confident in saying Marvel pulled it off and managed to create a really phenomenal experience.
As much as I've bitched about how much it bugged me that Thanos had been built up in the movies in snippets and without any context, he is easily my favorite villain in the MCU. So well done and terrifying.
I really loved this movie.
