Matt Hurt’s review published on Letterboxd:
In usually completely disinterested in these villain origin story movies. I think it's a pretty boring trend and making villains into antiheroes just really does nothing for me.
On that note, Cruella is slightly better than I expected it to be. Emma Stone's performance is a lot of fun and, although some of the humor falls super flat, the supporting cast does well too. Emma Thompson is good, as always. The plot takes some interesting turns but I doubt I'll ever have the desire to watch this again.
