Now it's time for Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. In other words, I thought the franchise was heating up before but now it's about to get.........Hodder.
Kane Hodder is a much more imposing and threatening Jason.
The New Blood isn't as good as Jason Lives. But it's an interesting expansion of the supernatural stuff in the previous movie. I like the gradual trajectory the Friday the 13th series has taken from revenge plot/campfire folklore to supernatural and magical powers. The New Blood is interesting to me since the main protagonist has telekinetic powers. A pretty sharp turn for the series.
