I really enjoyed the energy of this movie. It's a fun slasher that goes all-in with its setting. Since it takes place at a massive haunted house/traveling haunt, we get double the misdirect jump scares and overall "October atmosphere." I love the setting of the haunt itself. It's clear that the movie took good care with its set design.
The characters were okay. I didn't really get the backstory of the movie's Final Girl and her relationship with her best friend. And the love interest was sweet but the subplot itself was underused. But the playful ribbing among the friend group was really entertaining.
Overall, not a bad flick. There are some decent gore moments but (much to my surprise) I wanted more graphic gore than what we got.
