Matt Hurt’s review published on Letterboxd:
Solid examination of the tropes and trappings of the romantic comedy genre and the adverse effects it has on society's and individual's views and expectations for real world relationships.
It's shown entirely through clips from romantic comedies with voice over narration from several people. Unfortunately, there's no context given for who the voice overs are, which makes it soemwhat difficult to find their perspective. I would have preferred a more traditional, talking head documentary style.
Despite its shortcomings, Romantic Comedy does raise interesting points about the genre and the problems therein.
