Matt Hurt’s review published on Letterboxd :
What a wild and effective thriller. The story takes some amazing turns that I really didn't see coming. But I think what I like more than the unpredictability, is that the narrative twists aren't plot centric, so much as character based. You're not shocked because something unexpected happens, per se. You're shocked because someone reacts unexpectedly to something happening.
And of course, the ending knocked my socks off.
Also, The Gift gets bonus points from me for the terrific wordplay in its tagline: The sins of the past will become your present.
