The Vast of Night 2019
I really enjoyed the homage to The Twilight Zone in this movie. The Vast of Night is a delightful nostalgia trip through classic sci-fi thriller aesthetics. The dialogue is very sharp and the camera work, cinematography, and effects are all really impressive. There are a couple tracking shots where the camera zooms through an empty small town, into a crowded basketball game, and then back outside to another location. It's fast and really smooth.
There are a couple dialogue focused tension escalating sequences that didn't work quite as well as the overall mystery did. But the movie stuck its landing for me in a pretty big way.
