    “Have You No Faith In Life?”

    What a leap in quality. Kanał, the second film in Andrzej Wajda’s war trilogy, is an incredible improvement over it’s previous film A Generation. Whilst A Generation had some more over the top performances in regards to erraticism of their internal and external feelings for the war, Kanal really grounds itself with believable performances and gradual character progression.

    The film is also far bleaker and cynical than its predecessor. There is no youthful spirit…

    This Got Old. Real Quick.

    They say time is the greatest healer. I can only hope so for the damage caused by what M. Night Shyamalan put me through.

    The opening lines of the film serve as a precursor for what is to come; atrocious dialogue. It seems Shyamalan can’t write human characters but instead expositional plot points with limbs and flappy mouth holes for a screenwriters worst nightmare. The film doesn’t even allow you to figure things out for…

    Lost In The Vastness Of Space.

    Ikarie XB-1 is an interesting film, and a highly influential one that many may not know of. It is my second Jindrich Polák outing, and from what I have read quite a departure from his usual comedic work. Whilst Tomorrow I’ll Wake Up and Scald Myself With Tea was a delightful comedic farce genre hybrid, this film goes for a more trepidatious drama that is impressive for its time for sure but left something to…

    Forever Funny.

    To write a sincere review for a Jackass film that is more than a sentence or two may seem a little pretentious and wanky, but revisiting the Jackass guys over however many years it has been since I last watched a Jackass film has made me realise something: I was being pretentious not rating these higher.

    Some people in growing older may find themselves reflecting on Jackass and saying it’s crude, crass, low brow and childish. Is it…

    The People Wanted This Film, But As Super Hans Says;

               “People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazi’s, you can’t trust people”.

    I don’t really know where to start. There’s so much to say here but I’ve got to preface my words with this; the film was always going to be better than Joss Whedon’s version, so saying it is better isn’t exactly a good endorsement. Also, if you enjoyed this that’s fine and i’m…

    Listen To Silence.

    An honestly touching film with genuine performances across the board that pull on your heart strings and show sensitivity, frustration, pain and healing.

    The film both encapsulates something I seriously fear, accentuated by my love of playing and listening to music, but yet educates on the idea that hearing impairment is not a disability nor an ailment, but a different living experience that does not need fixed. It showcases “deaf pride” (talked about in a interview with…
