I don't even know what to rate Primer. It's very clearly made on a $7,000 budget, because the acting is not good, the audio is terrible, the lighting is bad, etc. I could go on.
The main problem is this movie takes forever to start and then rushes its ending. I don't really understand everyone praising this movie for not "dumbing down the dialogue." I know very little about complex math and science and I didn't have much difficulty watching this. I think the thing here is people are confused by the rushed ending (which 100% is understandable) and then think "wow this is too smart for me." Sorry, but this movie isn't confusing because of the math/science in it. It's confusing because the movie is badly structured and the budget made it so they could barely show anything.
