    - Really enjoyed the performances from Claire Foy, Jay Pharoah and Joshua Leonard.

    - I always enjoy the authentic performances Soderbergh gets out of non-actors.

    - I was expecting to hate the technical aesthetics of the film but was pleasantly surprised and thought it looked pretty good.

    - I really enjoyed the premise and it felt very believable (believe me, I’d know).

    - The only downside is the plot is a little far-fetched and the final scene is downright awful, which punctuates the end of the film with a freeze frame (a big no-no).

*Think Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban, but worse.

Can’t wait to revisit the sequel.

The rest of the film is a terribly emotional, coming-of-age film about a forced friendship that into something that…

  • Anomalisa

It's pretty ironic that a film about a man growing tired of the mundanity of his life, could make things so mundane seem so interesting due to the decision to make Anomalisa a stop-motion animated film. And that animation is pretty gorgeous, including the odd way the faces are constructed in various partitions.

I loved the idea of everyone, beside the main character, having the same voice. Even if it gave the film a bit of a South Park/Team America:…
