I’m on volume 21 of Berserk so far and just rewatched the 1997 series. I think Berserk is the greatest story ever told, but this show is a masterpiece in its own right. I think it’s one of the most focused character pieces I’ve ever seen and a contender for the best soundtrack I’ve ever heard. Just listen to “Gatsu”, “Behelit”, “Earth” or “Forces”. Not to mention the amazing opening and outro.
