    Bonnie and Clyde

Most people would describe Bonnie and Clyde as a landmark film, inaugurating a new wave of American Cinema. A film that became synonymous for its bold portrayal of sex and violence at the time of its release.
However, in his essay The Exploitation Generation, Martin Mcdonagh describes Bonnie and Clyde as being "all about poor white trash who were young, in love and killed people".

I don't know if it was the jet lag or this film really was just that dull, but I struggled to stay awake during the first half.

The first time I watched it, I didn't think much of it. It was only after my second viewing that I truly appreciated it. I've seen it at least five times now and It just gets better with every viewing.

I love the neon aesthetic, the music, the fleeting references to the second half of the film, the transition from the first story to the second story, the editing. Honestly, I could go on rambling about it.

God, I love it so much.
