I've started Christmas too early.
I walked 30 minutes to see this film, I don't know why I wanted to see this in a cinema, I'm not even that familiar with Martin Scorsese's work as I've only seen a couple of his films.
The Irishman is looooooong, I certainly felt the length, but I'm not mad about how long it is, what they showed us was what they needed to show us, if you removed even a single scene it wouldn't have the same impact.
I'll probably edit this review at some point after I've gathered my thoughts because at the moment my brain feels fried.
Before going into my second viewing I was worried I wouldn't enjoy it as much, but honestly I enjoyed it even more, I've started reading the book in between viewinga, I'm only a fraction of the way in but have noticed a few changes here and there but I understand why they were made.
