Week 20 - Spaghetti Westerns
If there's one now-iconic director/actor combo that could remake Kurosawa/Mifune, it'd have to be Leone and Clint Eastwood. While it's not as poetic + epic in scope as Yojimbo or even The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (or maybe it's just lessened because I watched them first?), it's still a pretty cool spaghetti western classic in its own right, due in large part to Ennio Morricone score, Leone's gritty direction, and Eastwood's gritty demeanor, long before he became an old fart. At least this film aged well*
*except for all the brownface, ofc.
