this thing has some borderline freaky animation at some moments (👋hello uncanny valley👋) but at other times is breathtakingly gorgeous. see: the take off to the moon scene. this film's visual inconsistency parallels the writing and story to a tee. it's pretty good as a netflix children's film but i have a feeling that Glen Keane's Over the Moon wasn't that far from greatness and Glen Keane is a director that we should all keep an eye on.
