Sound of My Voice ★★★½

This subtle but interesting, indie spirited sci-fi proves that Brit Marling excels in not only her writing ability (which she showed with last years Another Earth), but also with her nuanced performance as the potentially crazy cult leader Maggie. Whilst it is a little rough around the edges for first time director Zal Batmanglij, he expertly commands certain character-driven scenes which shows his potential to be a truly influential American director.
