As I mentioned in my previous review, As above So below is a solid horror film. I like that it's a horror movie that takes its time telling its plot and building its world. Not all horror movies do that and unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer of them. The hell that is presented is somewhat interesting and although it is not an exact copy of Dante's Inferno, it does have several ingredients from his novel. And that is appreciated. By having the aforementioned, along with new and fresh ingredients, the film shows something unique and terrifying. My only complaint would be that the ending feels very rushed and I find it a bit ridiculous that our protagonist makes a journey in minutes when it previously took her hours to do so, so it can ruin the climax a bit. But that aside, I stand by it, this is a pretty solid horror film.
