A beautifully shot psychological horror about Catherine Deneuve calmly descending into madness due to trauma while staying in isolation at her apartment. One of the most disturbing, intense, and impactful horrors I have watched this month to say the least.

Even though I don't really like admitting it, so far Polanski has been 4/4 when it comes to crafting effective endings to films that impacts audiences and stays with them. (The other three I've seen are Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown, and The Pianist.)

No thoughts, just Johnny Depp falling asleep with his headphones on.

I wish con artist Nicolas Cage was my dad.

Watched this only because I wanted to see what an 80s teen flick by Francis looked like. And also because Sofia is in this. Let's just say it was an awkward experience, I felt uncomfortable watching all those atrocious, corny dialogues.

Nicolas Cage's accent, blonde hair, and bleached eyebrows are going to give me nightmares.

    “He’ll never die.”

Love how this line is still relevant in 2021 as Hollywood is still milking the character of Michael Myers with this franchise.

Absolutely incredible and beloved for all the right reasons. The first Chaplin film that made me really thrilled during several scenes. I could name so many memorable moments such as Tramp saving the millionaire from committing suicide or the classic boxing match. Just a perfect film for me.

That ending was so beautiful, a tearjerker, and I just couldn't have asked for anything better.
