powerful and heartbreaking are the 2 key words i feel after watching this film. Daniel Kaluuya absolutely knocks it out of the park with his performance as Fred Hampton. Lakeith Stanfield also does a great job as the FBI informant Bill O'Neal. These 2 actors are just proving to be a new Hollywood duo in the making. The way 1960s Chicago is depicted feels raw and real and the color pallete is remarkable. My only problem was that the second act did drag a little bit and that Stanfield's character just didn't feel developed enough. But overall its an extremely relevant movie that will definitely be talked about during awards season. The first and third acts of this film are truly devastating and I highly recommend this for everyone. Also i was really hungry after watching it because Jesse Plemons was eating in literally every scene he is in.
