“I’ve sort of come to the conclusion that misery is the natural state, and, y’know, if you get two decent minutes a day then that’s alright.”
put this on for some light watching, and quickly remembered there’s no such thing as light manics watching. a poignant look at how despite immeasurable sadness and loss, the manics were beaten and bloodied but not broken. they made it through, and the world listened. hope lies in the proles.
far from the greatest doc I've ever seen, but it was a nice way to spend 90 minutes and support one of my usual haunts with the admission price.
specifically, i liked that the doc spends a lot of time with women/poc rather than the usual old white dudes buying 4-digit 60s prog records that record collecting docs tend to focus on. it made things feel a bit more fresh, despite the fact that at the end of the day this is just one big advertisement for rsd, lol.
