I really liked this film up until one little narrative twist that ruined it for me. I think that without that "flavouring" the film would have been stronger and less likely to be classed among so many dreary horrors. This is a classic case of simplicity being better than complexity. That said, it is still a good film and the addition can be over-looked in the face of a far more all-encompassing idea that speaks to the fears of collective society: the end of the world.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this film, but it was brilliant! I went to see it with two friends, both of whom have very different tastes yet this was a unanimous success. This film presents itself as a witty allegory WHILST maintaining excellently captivating and engaging characters. Really, not to be missed.
I hated this. I wanted to walk out. I've only walked out of two films in my life: Kingdom of Heaven [twice] and a Japanese horror remake... I can't remember which but they're all the same. I stuck this one out as I was convinced it would get better. And also it was cold outside the cinema. It was not worth it. I liked the series, not the movie.
