A haunting exploration of the effects that sexual assault can have on a victim’s life.
Nothing is held back here in terms of its portrayal of sexual violence and aggression- yet the film still feels delicate, patient, and sympathetic to its main protagonist. Ironic of course, considering it came from the dirtbag that is Roman Polanski.
