The Blood Is at the Doorstep

The Blood Is at the Doorstep ★★★★

What can I say that hadn't been said a thousand times before by people more eloquent and informed than me? This documentary could be about any of the countless innocent African Americans shot dead in the last few decades and be the same.

This is a tender documentary that expertly tracks the Hamilton family, and city of Milwaukee, in real time. It feels intimate and observant- what we see on camera is enough to enrage you and break your heart. This film works so well because it just feels so personal.
