the heading "the art life" doesn't mean anything in the film. it promises you a theory or a doctrine like "lebensphilosophie" but in the end the film is nothing but lynch's early time biography. it's always great to listen or to see david lynch while he was drawing, performing etc. but the film has nothing to offer.

Germans meet Baumbach

Ghost in the shell is a brilliant anime thanks to its philosophical subtext. I have to say that in this adaption they killed the subtext but I love the images and effects.
