The Irishman

The Irishman ★★★★

Really good! Terrific performances, amazing storytelling, superb direction and really great camerawork. The runtime isn't an issue at all, and it's not boring whatsoever. The characters and the dialogue is so captivating, as is trying to get to grips with the visual effects. Which is often great, but sometimes look so weird it makes parts look fake, like there seems to be tonnes of green screens but I dont think they are?? And the bizarre accent from Stephen Graham, a scouser trying to do New York, which is equal parts baffling and intoxicating.
Anyways it's really good, not quite a 5 star Scorsese but it's real close. Honestly some of the best character studies, dialogue and acting seen on screen however. This could change on a rewatch though!
