Konaka's "lost" Alice variation. Before Lain, before Cyberland and even before Alice6, you had Alice, Juri and Reika hanging out in Haunted High. There's a couple of seemingly completely unavailable works by Chiaki J. Konaka but this is the holy grail for me. Currently obsessed with this never released on home-video movie about a cursed and unfinished film named "Eyes in the Forest" whose director wants to complete, 30 years after the fact, in order to raise the original actress (played by Rena Komine) from the dead by using the movie's sfx guy to create a receptacle for her spirit. And the film's writer, mangaka Akira Fukaya, partially based this story on his experience as a special effect artist for productions such as Tetsuo II (he also illustrated the Tetsuo: The Bullet Man manga written by Tsukamoto). What the hell happened to this film?
