SURPRISING!

I've haven't watched but seven episodes of Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm". I don't have HBO. That limited exposure to Larry's "character" dramatically lowered my expectations for this movie. But within the first 3 minutes I was captivated. The personality and performance of the actors chewing on Woody's lines made the comedy come alive. It only got better from there.

LOST OPPORTUNITY

I'm a fan of Ryan Reynolds as a performer. And I hate reviews that attempt to re-write the plot. But this is one of those reviews.

I was excited about what Ryan would do with this beloved character, Hal Jordan. Unfortunately, I feel Ryan was miscast for this part. His instincts for this character didn't ring true for me. In fact, I think most everyone for this movie was miscast except for Mark Strong (as Sinestro).
