Hey! Regurgitation of old movies can actually be creative.
I love the setting it makes so much sense go have a Predator movie set against a Comanche Hunter it’s a no brainer. I want to see more like this
The potential… This movie was so close to being a 5/5…
Ok so this movie starts of FLAWLESSLY. A beautiful magical realism tale where one is situated in a fairy tale, a biblical story or a tale from another time but, in the modern world.
We are quickly introduced to visuals and style that feel precise, beautiful and enhance the overall sense of magic.
We are taken through vignettes that feel authentic to time, place and culture without feeling like…
“The world breaks everyone, and afterwards many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break, it kills - it kills the very good, and the very gentle, and the very brave, impartially. If you are none of these, you can be sure it will kill you, too, but there will be no special hurry”
Read in Clive Owens voice gets us 4 stars
Somehow this movie shows us the cold, mechanic, detached arm of corporate power and or capital representing it with ultramodern architecture.
I somehow got caught up watching many 70s films in my life. Maybe it’s because my love of film comes from my father, but I can easily say that the 70s has some of the most interesting American films ever made. This is possibly my favorite.
What makes it so great is hat like a great work of art…
