    Everything Everywhere All at Once

I haven’t sat between two strangers in a theater in a long time. I’ll admit, arriving to the movie alone and finding my seat in the darkened theater was a bit uncomfortable. What if I sneezed on one of them? Or our elbows touched 😳. But then the Daniels worked their movie magic and whisked me away into a world of multiverses, kung-fu, and outrageously hilarious humor. I instantly forgot anyone else was in the theater, except for the multiple…

    E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

To celebrate the legendary John Williams 90th birthday, The Kennedy Center in D.C. organized a couple of special events. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Jurassic Park were being shown with an accompanying live orchestra. Having never seen E.T. I figured how could I pass up such an extraordinary opportunity to experience one of Spielberg’s classics.

I can see why this simple movie about a harmless little alien became such an instant pop culture sensation. ET is an adorable little fella with a little…

  • Lightyear

When I first heard the news that Chris Evans would be voicing the iconic Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear I was ecstatic. One of the most iconic actors of the last decade taking up the mantle of the most iconic toy sounded like a match made in heaven. I think my favorite aspect of Tom Cruise's career is the fact that no matter what he is doing in any of his movies, I am wholeheartedly able to believe that he is actually doing it. Oh he's climbing into the cockpit of a P-51? Yeah he's actually flying that sucker. Now he wants to hit Mach 10 in a technologically advanced super-jet? Yeah Tom could totally pull that off too. The power of Scientology really is limitless huh.

    Jurassic World Dominion

This is supposed to be the epic conclusion to the Jurassic World trilogy?? There are actually zero stakes, no emotional payoff, and the entire project just reeks of laziness. If you want a sure sign that absolutely no brain power went into this story, just look at the title. It’s called Jurassic World: Dominion, yet the movie revolves around a swarm of aggressive locusts; dinosaurs have been co-existing with humanity for years, there’s no domination anywhere to be seen.
